SUMMARY:100 VOICES - AMERICANS TALK ABOUT CHANGE!
DESCRIPTION:<p>
 Reading &amp\; Discussion with Mary Clare
 </p>
 <p>
 &nbsp\;
 </p>
 <p>
 Cultural psychologist Mary M. Clare hit the highways to survey Americans of all ages and backgrounds for their thoughts on the state of the country. Beginning with the prompt\, “What does change mean to you?” this book is a journey to listen to the opinions and beliefs that stretch across a nation. Clare scribes with the hope of opening a door for dialogue across our differences\, allowing each of her subjects the space to tell their stories. Each one proves compelling in itself\, while showing that the concept of change is a shared hallmark of American identity.</p>
 <p>In a time of manic politics and the acute distortion of democracy\, this book points back at us - the people of the United States. These one hundred voices call for the radical act of listening to one another. Here is a book that arises directly from the cultural zeitgeist to guide the reclaiming of democracy.</p>

SUMMARY:Book Launch for I See The Stars by Kelsey Shipman
DESCRIPTION:<p>
 <em>I See The Stars</em>\, the fourth work of poetry by Kelsey Erin Shipman\, is\, at its heart\, a book about light. The poems transcend the dark streets of New York City\, and the sharp sting of their loneliness\, through an unyielding commitment to transformation. As the title poem suggests\, the only place to truly see the stars is from the darkest\, lowest vantage point. And this book\, with its heartfelt sentiments and careful verse\, anchors the reader to the ground with a clear view of the sky. <em>I See The Stars</em> is a search for light in the pervading gloom of obscurity.</p>

DESCRIPTION:<p class=\\"p1\\">
 The BookWoman BookGroup will meet to discuss Bossypants by Tina Fey. Come join us!!!
 </p>
 <p class=\\"p1\\">
 Tina Fey's memoir of life behind the curtain is an adventure all its own. It's laugh out loud funny (No\, seriously) and manages\, between the laughs\, to discuss how women are treated and how they treat each other. While keeping her home life out of the picture for the most part\, Fey sheds light on what it is like to be a woman\, leader\, and writer in the TV and movie industry. This\, of course\, provides context for in depth social commentary and many astute jokes along the way. If you're not a Tina Fey fan yet\, you just may well be after reading.

 <p>
 The BookWoman BookGroup usually meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month. We read a variety of genres and we welcome new members!
