Bagged & Tagged: A Night of Murder & Mayhem: Dec 1

"Bagged and Tagged: A Night of Murder and Mayhem and Holiday Treats”

Come get the holidays started at BookWoman with a reading and discussion with crime writer KM Hodge and former CSI, Cathy DeYoung, inspiration for the character "Abby" on the show NCIS.

K.M. Hodge:
K.M. Hodge grew up in Detroit, where she spent most of her free time weaving wild tales to spook her friends and family. These days, she lives in Texas with her husband and two energetic boys, and once again enjoys writing tales of suspense and intrigue that keep her readers up all night. Her stories, which focus on women’s issues, friendship, addiction, regrets and second chances, will stay with you long after you finish them.
When she isn’t writing or being an agent of social change, she reads Independent graphic novels, watches old X-files episodes, streams Detroit Tigers games and binges on Netflix with her husband.
Besides her solo novels she also co-writes her Book Cellar Mystery Series with author and good friend Melissa Storm.

Catherine DeYoung:
True crime stories straight from a former CSI! ~ Come spend the evening with Catherine DeYoung as she shares her favorite crime scene stories. You'll have a chance to ask any questions that you may have wondered about but didn't know who to ask.
"Life in the Trenches" is a fun, sarcastic, and honest glimpse into the scenes hidden behind the police barrier tape. Ride along with Cathy as she shares her experiences as a crime scene investigator and other adventures as she investigates life in the big city. You’ll see why detectives always call her "Abby", but her supervisor calls her "Trouble".
Fun Fact: Rumor has it that Cathy inspired the character "Abby" on the popular television show "NCIS" when the writers came to the crime lab to observe while developing the show.
As always, a portion of the book sales will be donated to the Youth Advocate Program of Williamson County (http://www.yapinc.org/)
