Already Here: The Matter of Love: Meditation with Kelly Corbet
An adventurous thinker in the field of mindfulness, Kelly Corbet is an author, mother, meditation mentor, and loud laugher. She offers Mindfulness 2.0 classes to grandpas and grade school teachers, lawyers and life coaches, prisoners and people who just need to free their own thoughts. She wants everyone to bask in the glorious calmness and joy that found her when she learned to meditate.
Though educated at UT and Harvard, Kelly learned that the most valuable information comes from within, and believes that love is the most real thing about us. Through her workshops, talks, and books, she hopes to help others remember—and delight in—that!
One of her favorite poets says this about her newest book, Already Here: the matter of Love:
"Already Here is a passionately-considered and beautifully-presented work on staking your claim to joy and sanity in a world where so many are now convinced that the opposite must necessarily be the norm…There are those who may be inclined to describe Already Here: the matter of Love as an instant modern classic…They just might be right in that assessment.” —Aberjhani
Kelly is currently working on her third book, Wild Peas, about her life-changing experience teaching—and learning more about—mindfulness in prison. Her first book, Love Lessons from My Mom: Important Stuff I Hope I Never Forget, was published by Celestial Arts in 2001.
