Getting to Know the Goddess in Greece

A Program in BookWoman's monthly "Getting to Know the Goddess" Series

Getting to Know the Goddess in Greece
Facilitated by Linda Webster
Featuring Pammyla Brooks

Have you ever been curious about prehistoric Greece? Join Pammyla Brooks, M.S., and take a visual, virtual tour through Greece and Her islands.

As we explore sacred sites and witness the beauty and grandeur of architecture that has withstood the test of time, waves of destruction, and earthquakes, our objectives are to stay open to ancient advanced knowledge (such as indoor plumbing) and to immerse ourselves in prehistoric Goddess symbols, imagery, and artifacts.

We begin in Athens with the Acropolis and Karyatids. Along the way we’ll discover the world’s first computer, that we only recently invented technology to even understand. Then, we travel to Mycenae and up to the Oracle of Delphi, and then onward toward the Greek islands, including Knossos on Crete. We finish in Eleusis and recreate the ancient walk to honor the Mysteries of Demeter and Persephone.

Pammyla Brooks, M.S. is the author of “Choose Power: Tools and Techniques for Home and Work.” For the past 20 years, she has taught adults topics ranging from Microsoft software (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) to personality differences using the Myers-Briggs (MBTI) and management topics. She recently returned from her dream trip of 2 weeks in Greece and is excited to share a portion of the 2500 photos she took with BookWoman and the "Getting to Know the Goddess" series.
