Getting To Know The Goddess - Lori Joan Swick presents The History and Lore of the Black Madonna

The History and Lore of the Black Madonna

While Mary is still revered in Christian cultures as the virginal mother
of light and love, her frequent appearance as the Black Madonna in
contemporary art, literature, and movies attest to the fact that we are
still irresistibly drawn to explore the secrets of her quiet presence
in hopes of unraveling the dark mysteries that surround her. Through
history and myth, we will explore the Black Madonnas of Europe and Latin
America as a source of power, wisdom, unity, and equality.

Lori Joan Swick, PhD is an author, speaker, and retreat leader
