GTKTG: Wisdom, Women, and Partners in Creation with Rabbi Swedroe: May 31
A Program in BookWoman's monthly "Getting to Know the Goddess" Series
Hosted by Linda Webster
Wisdom, Women, and Partners in Creation
presented by Rabbi Gail Swedroe
God as Divine Creator is traditionally represented using masculine language in the Abrahamic religions. And yet, women are typically seen as the givers of life. Where is the feminine in the primary story of the creation of life?
Rabbi Gail Swedroe serves as the Assistant Rabbi at Congregation Agudas Achim in Austin, Texas. She has participated in interfaith conversations throughout her life, starting at the age of 5 on the playground and was honored to continue these conversations as part of the annual Pope John Paul II Lecture on Interreligious Understanding in 2014. She strives to make Judaism accessible, relevant and meaningful. She is an alumna of the Rabbis Without Borders Fellowship and is privileged to currently be part of the Clergy Leadership Incubator's second cohort.
