Features Carolyn Tourney Florek and Carolyn Dahl recently collaborated on The Painted Door Opened, a collection of poetry and art. Florek, a co-founder of Mutabilis Press with her husband, Bob, is a Pushcart-nominated poet, visual artist, and publisher. Her poetry has appeared in The Texas Review, Illya’s Honey, and recently in Lifting the Sky: Southwestern Haiku and Haiga (Dos Gatos Press, 2014). PEN Texas finalist
Carolyn Dahl’s writing has been published in Women and Poetry: Tips on Writing, Teaching and Publishing (McFarland), Hawai’i Review, Copper Nickel, Camas, Colere, Pirene’s Fountain, Western Books, several Dos Gatos Press publications, and twenty-four anthologies. She serves on the board of Mutabilis Poetry Press, and is the author of Natural Impressions (Watson-Guptill) and Transforming Fabric (Krause/F&W Books). Dahl is also an artist (www.carolyndahlstudio.com) and has exhibited nationally and made guest appearances on PBS and Home and Garden Television.
