Allyson Whipple lives in Austin, Texas, where she works in education and
directs the Austin Feminist Poetry Festival. Her work has most recently
appeared in Haiku Journal, the 2013 Texas Poetry Calendar, and Southern Women's
Review. Her chapbook, We're Smaller Than We Think We Are, was just published by
Finishing Line Press. Allyson gets her literary inspirations from landscape,
science, math, religion, and driving long distances. You can read more about
