Second Thursday Open Mic featuring Elizabeth Kropf & Wade Martin
Second Thirsday Open Mic
Featured Poets: Elizabeth Kropf and Wade Martin
Hosted by Cindy Huyser
Elizabeth Kropf and Wade Martin will be our features. Elizabeth Kropf earned her
M.A. in Creative Writing from Perelandra College. She is widely published in
literary journals and has served on the Austin Poetry Society Board of
Directors. She is a full-time
English instructor at Bryant & Stratton College Online. She hosts a monthly
critique group and has won awards from the Austin Poetry Society as well as the
Poetry Society of Texas. A dream called her to Austin from California twelve
years ago, and she is now happily surrounded by her husband, dogs and her Muse,
three-year old Samantha. Wade Martin is a hybrid Austin-Seattle poet who writes
myriad poems about hybrid topics, such as the inextricable sameness between plastic
forks and what the kids call 'casual dating.' This might be your last time to see and hear Wade before he moves to Seattle.
A Round Robin style Open Mic follows the feature. Bring some poems and a friend to to share.
