Second Thursday Poetry Open Mic featuring Ann Howells & Michelle Hartman hosted by Cindy Huyser

Michelle Hartman’s work has been featured in the Langdon Review of theArts in Texas, and appears in such journals as Slipstream, Plainsongs, Carve, Crannog, Poetry Quarterly, The Pedestal Magazine, Raleigh Review, San Pedro River Review, Concho River Review and RiverSedge. Her new book, The Lost Journal of My Second Trip to Purgatory, dealing with child abuse, was just released from Old Seventy Creek Press. Lost Journal and her other books, Disenchanted and Disgruntled, and Irony and Irreverence from Lamar University Press, are available on Amazon. Hartman is the editor for the online journal, Red River Review and holds a BS in Political Science-Pre Law from Texas Wesleyan University.

Ann Howells’ poetry appears in Borderlands, Spillway, THEMA and elsewhere. She has edited Illya_s Honey for eighteen years, recently taking it digital: Her publications are: Black Crow in Flight (Main Street Rag Publishing), Under a Lone Star (Village Books Press), Letters for My Daughter (Flutter Press), and Cattlemen & Cadillacs, an anthology of D/FW poets she edited (Dallas Poets Community Press). Howells has four Pushcart nominations.
