Nancy Scott and Gail Lewis will start off the evening by swapping songs --- and then Brand New Key (Amy Moreland, Jack Kaulfus, Jill Csekitz, and Julie Shipp) will finish up the evening with a rousing set based in bluegrass, country, and folk or as they put it- "we are a Lo-fi, blue/stomp/folk/porch-grass band!"

Nancy Scott is a true Austin original. She has been instrumental in setting the stage for women's music in Austin for 40 years. She is very a talented singer/song writer and back porch philosopher, performing at venues such as Emma Joes, the Cactus Cafe, the Chicago House, Chances, BookWoman, Threadgills, Artz Rib House and Patsy's Cowgirl Cafe.Austin songwriter Gail Lewis is know for her heart felt ballads.  She co-founded the band The Therapy Sisters and later produced the solo album Where the Great Blue Flies.  She has performed at The Lone Star Music Festival, The Philadelphia Folk Festival as well as at many venues around Austin and Texas."  For more info go to  Brand New Key: "The trans/queer, indie/alt-bluegrass combo is Jack Kaulfus on guitar, Amy Moreland on mandolin, Julie Shipp on bass, and Jill Csekitz & Ashley Welch on cajons/percussion.  All five band members are well-known activists in the queer, feminist, and anti-racist community in Austin, and bring their passion for equality and gender justice to their music.  "Really cool that Brand New Key's latest recording, End Of The Story, captures the spirit of their live shows with original tunes that are fun and infectious!” – Eddie Collins, Bluegrass Musician, Austin, TX"  Check out their website
