Tara Thursdays: Reclaiming Our Joy with Prema Dasara
Reclaiming Our Joy—with Prema Dasara
By engaging with the Divine Feminine, we realign with who we really are. Join us for an evening workshop where you’ll learn how to reconnect with your joy in challenging times. How do we remain stable in the midst of difficulties? By discovering, realizing and practicing interconnectedness with all beings. You will gain insight and take home a simple, inspiring set of practices that anchor the mind and uplift the spirit. Come celebrate with us!
Prema Dasara is the founder of Tara Dhatu. Her joy, exuberance, and friendliness draw everyone who work with her into heart-centered experience. After many years of Odissi dance training in India, she became a student of the Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Lama Sonam Tenzin. He encouraged her to continue her sacred dance work, which culminated in the creation of the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara, a group ritual based on the profound mind training practices of Tibetan Buddhism. She has traveled the world since 1986, studying other dance traditions and teaching the Tara dances and the accompanying meditations. She has been invited to present the ritual to many of the most accomplished Tibetan lamas, including HH the Dalai Lama, who proclaimed the dance “wonderful.”
Prema is in the Austin area to lead a weekend retreat in Wimberley Jan 25-27—spaces still available: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/send-out-light-tickets-51446704478
