Virtual- Getting To Know The Goddess: Noble Green Tara, Embodiment of Wisdom, Compassion, and Power
Tuesday, September 26, 2023, 7-9 p.m. CST on Zoom
A Program in BookWoman’s monthly “Getting to Know the Goddess” program
Title: Noble Green Tara, Embodiment of Wisdom, Compassion, and Power
The precious Tara Dance lineage empowers us so we can fully embody the Divine Feminine in our lives, nourishing and strengthening ourselves to shine our love and light to all we meet. The movements of these sacred dances are beautiful, simple, and powerful, inspired by Dances of Universal Peace in their simplicity and Classical Indian Dance in their symbolism and power of the mudra gestures. The visualizations and mantra are based on the Tibetan Buddhist practices of Mother Tara. However, she transcends any one religion, and ultimately our practice about manifesting the Divine Feminine archetypes comes from many spiritual traditions.
We will center on the Dance of the 21 Qualities of Tara, where Tara manifests in a rainbow of colors and teaches us to express her enlightened qualities in our lives.
Our meditation will focus on Green Tara, the Central Tara of the Mandala, out of whom every manifestation is born. So please wear green or a green accessory to honor this Goddess.
Anjali is the co-founder of the Austin Tara Circle, and a student of many spiritual traditions and sacred dance. Her teachers include Prema Dasara, HeatherAsh Amara, Thich Nhat Hahn, and Ayang Rinpoche.
