Chelsey Clammer is the author of BodyHome and Circadian, which was the winner of the 2015 Red Hen Press Nonfiction Manuscript Award. Her work has appeared in The Normal School, Black Warrior Review, The Rumpus, McSweeney’s, Hobart, Essay Daily, and The Water~Stone Review, among more than one hundred other publications. She is the Essays Editor for The Nervous Breakdown, a reader for Creative Nonfiction magazine, and an online creative writing instructor and columnist for WOW! Women On Writing. Chelsey received her MFA in Creative Writing from Rainier Writing Workshop. She lives in Austin, TX.
Allison Grace Myers lives in Bastrop with her husband Jason and their adorable dog, Gilbert. Allison recently graduated with her MFA in Fiction from Texas State University, where she held the W. Morgan & Lou Claire Rose Fellowship. Her short stories have been published in Crazyhorse and in Reed Magazine, as the winner of the John Steinbeck Award. The essay she will read tonight originally appeared in Image Journal, and was listed as "honorable mention" in this year's Best American Essays anthology.
Abe Louise Young is a poet and activist in Austin, TX. She's the author of two chapbooks of poetry, and her journalistic work is focused on human rights. She won the 2017 Vilcek Prize in Poetry from the Bellevue Review, and was just nominated as Best Activist in the Austin Chronicle Best of Austin awards.
